About Us

The Waste Working Group aim is to propose and define strategies and actions in order to reduce the waste production, increase the recycling and to manage, in the most sustainable way, the waste cycle within the buildings of the University of Turin. Starting from best practices of other Italian and European sustainable campus, through an estimation of the quantification of waste production and an analysis of the waste cycle, thanks to large survey actions and the analysis of the University “metabolism”, the Working Group will propose some pilot experimentationof separate collection of rubbish in some of the University buildings.

The Waste Working Group, in order to improve the academic community engagement will propose educational initiatives and informative campaign for academic and administrative staffs, researchers and students.

The Waste Working Group works strictly in contact with the Sustainability Report Team in order to define and to deepen new monitoring methodologies in order to quantify the waste stream in and out the University.
